We are proud to recognize our professional drivers who reached the notable honor of driving a million miles or more without a single preventable accident. Our drivers receiving this award are exemplary in their professionalism, dedication and their commitment to safety.

By the numbers for 2022, 298 Yellow drivers achieved the Million Mile status:

• 4 surpassed four million miles
• 32 surpassed three million miles
• 73 surpassed two million miles
• 189 surpassed one million miles

To put into perspective the dedication and distance each one of these drivers has achieved to reach this milestone — it takes almost a decade for a professional truck driver to travel one million miles. And just one million miles is equivalent to traveling 40 trips around the Earth or two trips to the Moon and back.

City Combination driver Pedro Fuentes (Terminal #390, Santa Clara, Calif.), who recently achieved the remarkable status of three million miles, shared thoughts on his 31-year career of accident- and injury-free driving: “I have a process, I am always aware of my surroundings, where I step, where I walk, where I work, where I drive, space for my vehicle and I always perform good equipment pre-trip and post-trip checks.”
