When your goods are delivered safely,
we know we've done our jobs, so we like to recognize the excellent
safety records of our drivers. Almost 300 Yellow drivers received Yellow Million Mile Awards
during 2002 for driving accident-free.
While Million Milers are drivers who go 1 million consecutive
miles (10 years) without a preventable accident, the recognition
extends beyond that standard. Million Milers also are drivers who
roll up 2 million consecutive miles (20 years), 3 million
consecutive miles (30 years), or even 4 million consecutive miles
(40 years) with no preventable accidents.
Company safety officials say Yellow has between 1,300 and 1,500
drivers currently working that have been recognized as Million
Milers.
