President’s
Club
Yellow initiated the President's Club management
recognition program in 1999 to reward superior performers in Sales,
Operations Management, and Support Management. Senior managers nominate their
top employees for the President's Club. The award structure allows recipients
and their spouses to participate in the recognition and award. Group travel
with peer performers and selected members of senior management provides a
unique benefit and helps build esprit de corps. The winners are kept a
closely guarded secret until their announcement in front of their peers at
the Annual Planning Meeting.
Chairman’s
Award
This award, from the YRC Worldwide chairman of the board,
was begun in 1997 to honor employees of YRC Worldwide and its subsidiaries.
The purpose of the award is to recognize excellence in the workplace and the
community. The chairman receives nominees for these categories:
- Customer Service
- Revenue Production/Cost Reduction
- Ingenuity
- Heroism
- Community Service
YRC Worldwide recognizes award recipients
at the Annual Shareholders Meeting, giving them a trophy and cash award.
